Concept art of various designs for the front side of S1 Ena's head. All of the designs have black hair and lack ahoges, except for one design having an ahoge-like feature. In the top row, from left to right:

• An Ena with two hexagon-shaped hair buns on both corners of the top of the hair. Ena's left side is yellow and Ena's right side is white. The left eye is diamond-shaped and the right eye is larger and circular. The mouth is on the yellow side and is puckered. Each cheek has a semicircle at the bottom. The triangular cut on Ena's bangs is centered.
• An Ena with the same color scheme as the last one, but with the hair tucked behind Ena's right ear and wider on Ena's left side. The left eye is a small and black with an eyelash, and the right eye is like Ena's finalized design, but with a bushy eyebrow above it. Ena's mouth is on the yellow side and is open and frowning. The triangular cut on Ena's bangs is on Ena's right side.
• An Ena with a somewhat wider head and the same color scheme as the last two, but both eyes are diamond-shaped, with Ena's left eye having an eyelash on the bottom and Ena's right eye having an eyelash on the top. Ena's mouth is on the white side and is open and smiling. The triangular cut on Ena's bangs is centered.
• An Ena with the same color scheme as the last three, with Ena's left eye being diamond-shaped and having an eyelash above it and Ena's right eye being black and oval-shaped and having an eyelash on the side. Ena's mouth is on the yellow side and is open and frowning. The triangular cut on Ena's bangs is centered.

In the bottom row, from left to right:

• An Ena whose left side is yellow and whose right side is blue. Ena's left eye is diamond-shaped and has an eyelash below it, and Ena's right eye is oval-shaped. Ena's mouth is on the yellow side and is smiling. The triangular cut on Ena's bangs is centered.
• An Ena who looks very similar to the finalized design, but with an eyelash above Ena's left eye, Ena's hair parted behind both ears instead of just the one on Ena's right side, the triangular cut on Ena's bangs being centered instead of on Ena's right side, and no ahoges. Ena's mouth is on the yellow side and smiling.
• An Ena with a big piece of hair floating to Ena's right by the top corner of Ena's head, sort of like an ahoge but much wider/thicker and with a geometric form. This design is otherwise very similar to the finalized one, except for Ena's left eye having an eyelash on the bottom. Ena's mouth is on the yellow side and is open and smiling.
• An Ena that looks similar to the previous one, but with Ena's hair parted behind both ears instead of just the one on Ena's right side, the triangular cut on Ena's bangs being centered instead of on Ena's right side, wider and longer hair in the back, and no floating piece of hair.
