The Core
The Core is a location in the Lonely Door chapter of Dream BBQ.
Description
The Core is a barren black void, containing a half-built red bridge, a white river with bamboo rafts, and a giant blue portable toilet that serves as the entrance to the Bathroom. Red and blue Walkers are scattered throughout The Core, all pointing towards the Bathroom.
Overview
Ena can come here either through the Uncanny Streets or the Purge Event, appearing in her Hangover form. She must cross the river in order to reach the Bathroom. Being near the river distorts one's vision. One can make a bridge with the Humanboard to cross the river if they entered the area through the Uncanny Streets route or parkour along the rafts to reach the other side. Using the raft route will reward the player with the "Sick Tricks" achievement. On the other side, a large, brown Walker can be seen vomiting into the river. Stated by one of the Amoeba Guys, reaching this area (and the Bathroom) induces hangover symptoms and strong thirstiness.
When approaching the portable toilet, it will shrink down until it becomes an interactable entity, allowing access to the Bathroom. If one falls into the white river or interacts with the vomiting walker, they are taken to the Lost Village instead.
Trivia
- In the Core, it is much easier to get the "Blink and You'll Miss It" achievement, as the code for determining the chance of Ena blinking is different. In other areas, the game rolls a 1 in 1000 chance every 30 seconds to determine if Ena will blink, but in the Core, this chance is increased to 1 in 100, and the time between rolls is lowered to 5 seconds, decreasing the average wait time to 8 minutes and 20 seconds, which is 98.33% shorter than the normal average wait time of 8 hours and 20 minutes.
