Rouny
Rouny[1] is a character that appears in Dream BBQ. They are one of the characters found in the Uncanny Streets, albeit very hidden away.
Appearance
Rouny appears very similar to a samurai, wearing brown baggy pants and a dark brown cloak. They also wear a conical hat with a bird-like figure sporting a clown face atop it. Their face is unseen, and their neck is disconnected from their body, though the back of their head resembles a mechanical human skeleton while the front appears to be covered either by a face or mask resembling skin.
Overview
Rouny is present in one of the holes on the wall in the Uncanny Streets Dark, as they just lay there, motionless. They can only be seen and not interacted with, due to being on a platform that's too high for ENA to get onto, unless the player uses cheats to see them up close. Their relevance to the story is currently unclear.

Cultural references and inspirations
- Their appearance is highly similar to that of the Spy from the game LSD, a game that serves as one of the series's main inspirations.
- It's possible that their design could have been inspired by the Spy's appearance.
- Rouny's name is similar to the Rōnin, or "浪人". Translated as "wandering man" or "drifter", these samurai had no lords or masters or have even severed ties with their own family members or clans and were mostly just on their own, doing samurai things for themselves.
- Samurai become Rōnin when their master dies, or when their legal privilege runs out.
- A technically famous example of a Rōnin would be Samurai Jack, considering he doesn't serve a master.
