Red Outworld
The Red Outworld is a location in the Lonely Door chapter of Dream BBQ.
Description
The Red Outworld is a world resembling a dilapidated village with a cloudy, red sky, infested with hopping fleas. In the sky, a giant shadowy figure swims by, wearing what appears to be a hat or mask with small ears.
The world contains several parallel roads, all lined with groups of abandoned buildings and shop stands. Vending machines, empty signs, and air conditioners decorate each of the buildings, but inspecting them reveals that they have never worked, no longer work, or the food in them has gone stale, respectively. Telephone poles also line the streets with their wires connecting each other. Stone ruins are also found littered throughout the town, depicting things ranging from abstract shapes to groups of eyeballs.
Overview
The Red Outworld is where Ena finds herself at the beginning of Lonely Door. The area is largely barren, and there are no other characters within the world to interact with. By traveling forward and taking two rights from the starting point, the player will end up on a street decorated with red paper lanterns. Along this road is a Door resembling a blue mattress and pillow in a purple bedframe with blue wheels. Interacting with it will have Ena lay down, looking up at the sky as she doses off before suddenly being taken to the Hub.
Despite the largely empty landscape, several oddities can be found around this world. By standing on the bed and facing the end with the pillow on it, continuing forward down the street, taking the second right, and then crouch-jumping into the right building in the pair of three before the player, a single Mannequin can be found behind one of the stands. Inspecting them will show they are taking part in a mysterious productivity ritual known as "The Nap". Finding this Mannequin also unlocks the "Salesman's Delight" achievement.
Some other small oddities found around the town include a small hourglass that can be found next to one of the houses and a single stationary flea sitting atop one of the rooftops.
