The Outworld is a location in the Lonely Door chapter of Dream BBQ.

Description

The Outworld is a location dominated by white and gray. It contains several sections, mostly based on other areas in the game.

Outworld Path

The first section is a grayer version of the locker room and shower room from the Bathroom. The well that Theodora inhabits is replaced by a large block. In one corner of the room, near the lockers, faint music can be heard, while in the opposite corner, near the windows, water running through pipes can be heard.

The second area is a series of near-identical square rooms reminiscent of the ones found in the Purge Event. Instead of black voids as ceilings, there are bright white lights with triangular prisms floating in them. Triangular prisms also appear and disappear throughout the rooms, and the sounds that play vary depending on which room one is in. The heads above the doorways get progressively low-poly upon getting close to any of this section's exits, eventually being reduced to prisms when right above an exit.

The third area resembles the Theatre inside the Uncanny Streets, being a straight hallway with several slim paths blocked by footboards. A window close to the end of the hall will show the outside, with a singing chorus becoming audible when near the window.

Outworld

The main Outworld area is a flat expanse that has scarcely any elements remaining of Uncanny Streets. There is the red bridge, which is now a graphic floating in the air, the ship, which is now more blocky and gray, and the taxi, which has become pixelated. The ground and sky are white and gray, with both also having rain-rocks in them. In the sky is a cloud that has a face on it, which is raining rocks down. Far in the distance, some blue spires are visible.

Although this location is mostly barren, there are some oddities dotted around. In one area, there is a blue object with hands sticking out that is performing a silent act while Headtombs watch. On top of this object is a data matrix which can be decoded to get Auctioneer's phone number, 6687226. There is an area with little green, pink-roofed houses that is being sold by purple real estate agents. A circular island can be seen in the distance, which features Dahlia and some Headtombs. Behind the ship, Squeedly Headman can be found.

Depending on the player's actions, certain NPCs will appear in this area:

  • If the player helped the Watcher in the Gutsy Caves get its net back, it will be watching the muscle show with the Headtombs.
  • If the player got close to the giant in Uncanny Streets near the bridge gorge, it will appear lying at the edge of the world, near the houses.
  • If the player didn't rescue the Taxi Drivers Head, then FEN will appear next to the taxi graphic.
  • If the player completed the "KILL THAT MAN'S STARE" job, then Hoarder Alex's charred corpse will appear near the path to the ship.
  • If the player talked to Unforgiven Frank in the Lost Village, he can be found next to the ship.

The final area is inside the ship, which has also turned primarily gray. A large rain-rock blocks the exit doorway, and a single Mannequin roams around the area, covered in rain-rocks. The three figures resembling Theodora are now joined by a fourth figure with its eyes closed, reminding Ena of Theodora's advice when interacted with.

Overview

After destroying the machine in the Smoke Room, Ena ends here. She leaves the Bathroom-esque space to enter the second area. She is informed by Froggy that the Lonely Door is soon to close, implying this is why the world is like this. Exiting through any one of the white doors leads her to the outside. Here, she is hit by rain-rocks from above, which cover her more as she gets closer to the Door. When she tries to leave through the Door, it is revealed to be closed, and she is consumed by the rain-rocks before being brought to an abyss.
