Genies
The Genies are enigmatic entities who appear in Dream BBQ.
Overview
Although it is unknown how far the Genies' influence reaches, they are considered very important to the people of the ENA universe. They possess high authority, being the only ones capable of calling off the Hub's smoke. At least one Genie is also capable of influencing people directly. Theodora can free entities of their sins and allow them to ascend, though they are also capable of reversing this process.
Genies also have a strong connection to the Doors. If a Genie associated with a Door dies, that Door will stay closed until a new Genie can take their place. This is the case for the Horse Door in the Lonely Door chapter and, as stated by the Suspicious Man, the absence of Piero the Genie would mean no town behind the Crowd Door. The Suspicious Man also suggests that the Genies can ban people from using their associated Door, as is the case for Crowd Door, which Ena is banned from. The Genies may have an even closer relation to Doors than just administration, as the Receptionist mentions the Crowd Door may once have been part of a Genie.
